Mini golf is hardly new, but it’s a family pastime that has certainly stood the test of time and still provides the young and not-so-young with great outdoor fun.
At West Beach Mini Golf, you’ll find an establishment that’s true to the original concept while keen to introduce innovations that make it that bit different, more memorable for visitors and leaving them thinking “hmmm, that was a good call…”
The family-owned business, run by Ben Coure, has recently undergone a refurbishment, with the greens re-laid and the limited spread of snacks and drinks, including a small selection of beer and wine, expanded to cater to various tastes.
It also draws on its seaside location to celebrate a nautical theme that’s sure to delight the children, even if their putts aren’t sinking and their scorecard more closely resembles a telephone directory. They can enjoy a little pleasant distraction by acquainting themselves with the plethora of pirates scattered across the layout, they can marvel at the mermaids and meet many other characters and creatures of the sea to keep their spirits up while contemplating how best to conquer the challenging 18-hole course.
Ben, who has had the business for the past 15 years, has also introduced floodlit play on a Friday and Saturday night during the warmer summer months, making it a great way to end the first day of your Adelaide adventure before heading for a bite to eat.
As Ben reserves the right to close the business should the weather forecast predict inclement conditions or temperatures are expected to reach the upper 30-degrees zone, please visit the website (www.westbeachminigolf.com) or call 8353 0335 to check that it is open.
