Eat and Drink
The Port is a heritage area settled back in 1937, with many funky cafes and restaurants tucked inside the old buildings.
You’ll get a good dose of history as you wander the streets past interesting shops, pubs and eateries. With a rich maritime history, there are many well persevered 19th century pubs and hotels that catered for the sailors in the trading ships.
There are “old salt” pubs that ooze stories of seafaring history with top value counter meals. Enjoy seafood and gourmet vegetarian meals in cosy heritage street cafes, or watch the sunset over the sea in quirky coastal cafes!
Beer is still brewed on the premises of some of the pubs and you can book a brewery and cellar tour.
Port Adelaide is a destination place for many Adelaideans who want to reconnect with the maritime buzz of years gone by and enjoy some fabulous culinary delights.
