comfort and convenience at value-for-money prices.
When you take the guest approval rating from around 80 percent to above 90 percent in just a few short years and witness a growing cohort of regulars returning time and again, chances are you’re doing something right.
And that has certainly been the experience of owner operators Benita and Gavin Collins, who took over Comfort Inn Anzac Highway in 2018 and have since gone on to up the guest rating with each passing year, culminating with the winning of Hotels.com’s coveted ‘Loved by Guests’ Award for 2020.
The couple are not resting on their laurels, though, having used the quieter Covid period to further improve the 34 modern, stylish and comfortable rooms by upgrading the bathrooms in each.
The establishment, with everything from standard rooms to executive spa suites with kitchenettes, is particularly well patronised by the business community seeking comfort and convenience at value-for-money prices. They’re drawn by its ideal location between the city and Adelaide’s premium seaside suburb of Glenelg, along with its plethora of amenities that include everything from free wi-fi and outdoor parking to meeting rooms and event space.
And while the rooms offer self-catering facilities, Comfort Inn Anzac Highway is also the only small motel in the Glenelg area with an on-site restaurant known for its modern Australian cuisine. It also boasts an extensive wine list celebrating South Australian wines from the world-renowned Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale and serves cooked and continental breakfasts daily.
The Comfort Inn Anzac Highway further holds appeal as a weekend getaway or family holiday destination thanks to its sparkling outdoor swimming pool and expansive barbecue area, its proximity to the sea and a suburban setting dotted with nearby council playgrounds and tennis courts. Most recently, three pet-friendly rooms have been introduced, with the promise of more to follow.
